MICHAEL GUILD – is a Japanese/Iranian artist. He has a career background as a graphic designer and web developer specializing in user interface with accessibility. As a kid, he used to try to mimic the techniques of comic book and anime artists. Later on, he took to graffiti and followed some other artists who did experimental things with graphic design. After, messing with several different mediums, he decided to focus on combining these different mediums so that they could complement and communicate a message or feeling. Currently, Michael is working on a “Disco Zoo” collection with the idea of inspiring people to take notice of the fine details of animals in an appreciation for nature as a whole. With this gained appreciation of nature and life, the ideas of how we as humans impact the world will hopefully allow us to gain some perspective on the choices we make on a daily basis that impact life around us. SAMANTHA TRANFA – Local D.C. artist Samantha Tranfa works with an array of materials including paint, plastic, wood and fabric to showcase today’s political and social issues. Native to South Florida, Samantha’s art is greatly influenced by the beauty of women and their roles in society.www.samtranfa.com
IVAN COLLICH – A D.C. area native, with roots from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I?ve had a drive to draw and make art ever since I was a child. A lot of my work draws inspiration from pop culture and my personal life. Although my paintings reference different works of art, I like to leave it open and have viewers develop their own conclusions about a piece. An important aspect of my work is combining traditional and modern artistic styles, and having fun while doing it. http://
The live painting was a huge win! I am glad that a lot of people were able to enjoy watching me at work. I also sold the Leopard painting! I hope it was all a bit inspirational to the inner creative kid inside for everyone. A huge thanks to Art Soiree, Skvora Limited Photography and friends!

Disco Zoo was a huge hit at the Raw DC Artist event. We had a lot of people interacting with the pieces enjoying the fun playful colors and seeing the depth change from lighting. The majority fell in love with the “Lion Base Drop”, seeing the expression and texture communicate powerful emotion.
It was great seeing everyone have fun with all of the pieces. I feel like this was much success in accomplishing what I wanted, curiosity with nature.
I also had a great time catching up with an old friend, Ivan Collich ( http://www.ivancollich.com/ ), that was displaying as well. It’s funny to think that just 15 years ago, we both were taking graphic design together.
A huge thanks for everyone that helped and supported the work.
